Obituary of Alfred Carl Peterson

Alfred Carl Peterson passed away on October 19/2022 surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer.

Alfred was born on January 15, 1944, to Frank and Hulda Peterson. Alfred was the youngest of three boys. He lived on his family’s homestead with his wife Kathy (Miller) where they raised their 4 children. Alfred farmed his entire life and worked at the sawmill in Big River for over 30 years.Alfred will be lovingly remembered by his wife of over 50 years Kathy (Miller) and their children:Steven (Rhonda) their children Rhea and Leland :Darcy (Jim Pennington) children Bailey and Hanna :Sean (Nadine) their children Ayla, Hayden and Colton :Krista (Jeff Anderson) their children Addison and Shylo :His brother Arthur (Margaret) Peterson and their children .He was predeceased by :His parents Frank and Hulda:His brother and sister law Lloyd and Ruby Peterson:His brother-in-law Gordon Miller :His nephew Blair Miller :His in laws Clarence and June Miller.

  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Big River Community Hall. 

In lieu of tributes, memorial donations may be made in memory of Alfred to either the Zion Lutheran Church in Canwood (Box 358 Canwood, SK S0J 0K0), or to the Lake Four Cemetery (Box 453 Big River, SK S0J 0E0).
