Obituary of Funeral Notice for the Late Shawn Carriere

Shawn was born on January 14, 1966 in Shellbrook to Maurice and Joyce Carriere. As a young boy he enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing hockey. When Shawn was 20 he began working in the oil patch. He was also extremely skilled at any other job he took on and the many jobs and projects that kept him busy during "break up" for the last 22 years. In 1990 he married Brenda and they lived happily in Spiritwood for 19 years. In 2000 Shawn and Brenda's dreams of becoming parents came true when Tayler was born. This tiny little girl melted Shawn's heart. Shawn taught Tayler one of life's greatest possessions--a sense of humor that has no limits! Shawn passed away peacefully at his new home in Saskatoon on November 30, 2009 with his wife by his side. Shawn was a hard working, intelligent man. No job or project was ever too big for him. He built the cabin of his dreams at Crescent Beach. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 19 years Brenda of Saskatoon, SK, his 9 year old daughter Tayler of Saskatoon, SK, his parents Joyce and Maurice Carriere of Spiritwood, SK, his mother & father-in-law: Dianne (Gerald) Doetzel of Saskatoon, SK, his 3 sisters-in-law and their families Camela (Len) Anderson and their children Justin & Rayna of Lloydminster, Tania (Jeff) Quibell and their children Tylen, Bailey & Jaiden of Melfort, SK, Janice (Steve) Avivi of Edmonton, AB as well as Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends from home as well as from the oil patch. He was predeceased by his brother Brenton Carriere, his grandparents Harriet & Bernhard Nobel, Yves & Josephine Carriere and his uncle Carl Nobel. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the Spiritwood Civic Centre, Spiritwood, Sask. Memorial donations in memory of Shawn may be made to the Interventional Radiologists Vascular Suite at the University Hospital.
