Obituary of Obituary for the Late Robert Nicholas Richinski
Obituary - Richinski, Robert It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr., Robert Nicholas Richinski on the 1st day of December 2009 at the age of 61. Robert was born on September 14th, 1948; he was the 5th child in a tight knit family of 8. Robert was a somewhat quiet, unassuming, shy individual who went about doing his work, not interfering with others, to the best of his ability. Robert grew up on the farm and from there, developed a devout love of the earth. He loved to help others with their farm operations. He grew a tremendous garden and the produce was put to good use; his pantry and freezer were filled with many vegetables, jars of jam, fruit and pickles. Robert was also an excellent homemaker and cook, it was said he made the flakiest pie crust. Although Robert was somewhat analytical, he had a sense of humor that paralleled his actions. Robert worked for the Department of Northern Saskatchewan, did extensive construction and renovation jobs, taught GED and upgrading, drove the school bus as well as other jobs. Robert's name was synonymous with curling and the Leoville Curling Rink, as he was an avid curler and took an active role in making and maintaining the ice at the curling rink. He also loved horse racing, hockey and the Rough Riders.
