Obituary of Leon Andre Gagne
In loving memory of Leon Andrew Joseph Gagne who was born February 16, 1945, in Meadow Lake, SK and passed away November 20, 2022, in Canwood, SK at the age of 77 years.
Leon is lovingly remembered by: his wife: Laurelle Gagne (nee Poore), his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren: Michelle (Jackson) Wells of Rocky Mountain House, AB, Amanda (Shane) Girard - Chase, Cayson, Brielle, Julie Rose, Darian Rodtka, Dustin Rodtka, Pauline Gagne of Spiritwood, SK, Conrad Gagne (Jackie Villeneuve) of North Battleford, SK, Kearstin (Cal) Aube, Damien Gagne, his siblings: Diane Greenard of Saskatoon, SK, Adele (Jim) Horn of Saskatoon, SK, Rita Goertzen of Saskatoon, SK also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents: Emile and Noelie Gagne, his sister: Agnes LaFreniere, his brothers-in-law: Leo LaFreniere, Ivan Goertzen, his nephews: Dallas LaFreniere, Keith Greenard and his niece: Trina Genest (nee Horn).
A Funeral Mass was held Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 1:00 pm, at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Spiritwood, SK with Father Ramel Macapala as Celebrant. Members of the Knights of Columbus formed an Honor guard, Honorary pallbearers are considered “All those who shared in Leon’s life”. Active pallbearers were Keegan Story, Conrad Gagne, Cam Story, Jackson Wells, Damien Gagne and Cal Aube.
Memorial donations may be made to the Witchekan Wildlife Association in memory of Leon Gagne as tokens of remembrance.
Interment will take place at a later date in the Laventure Cemetery.
