Our deepest condolences go out to you and your family for the loss of your wife and mother. Our hearts go out to you as we share your sorrow with love and friendship. Her love and care for our children when they were so young will never be forgotten. I am so sorry I never made it to see Mavis to personally thank her for all that she did for us.
Everyone on Armstrong Crescent knew her as the neighbourhood mom. She will be so missed.
It is our hope that the memories you have of her will keep her alive and close to your heart for a long time to come.
Rest in Peace Dear Mavis.
With love,
Phil & Roz

With the loss of your wife and mother, we extend our deepest condolences to Ken, Cheryl, Amanda, and Leon.
We will always be grateful to Mavis for the love and care she provided for our two girls. Mavis was the neighborhood mom, and everyone knew her. There are so many lives she touched, and she will be missed by all.
I am so sorry that I did not make it over to see Mavis personally and thank her for all that she did for us and my children.
We hope that the memories you have of Mavis will keep her close to your heart. Mavis, may you rest in peace.

Mavis's family were the among the first people we met when moving to the Armstrong block back in 1986. Our families have been lifelong neighbours. As my parents' daycare provider who was conveniently two doors away, Mavis was an extension of our family. She was like my second Mom! She watched me grow up since my earliest days. Most of my childhood memories involve Mavis's house. Playing in the backyard, eating her snacks and buns, playing with bunnies, jumping on the trampoline, or racing to grab the corner seat on the basement couch - so many memories! Those were the days! Thank you Mavis for helping to raise me - I was a brat sometimes! You couldn't get anything past Mavis, she always knew what was going on in the neighbourhood! She was a lively woman with an infectious laugh and always stopped to say hello. The Amstrong block won't be the same without her. It's difficult to believe she has moved on, but we will find solace in knowing that she is at peace and comfort in the many memories she has given us. My thoughts are with the Zinovich family during this time - we share in their grieving and send our most sincerest sympathies. You are all in our hearts. Rest easy, Mavis. Thank you for everything.

Mavis was the first person we met when we moved to Armstrong Crescent and she became a wonderful neighbour and friend. A sure sign of spring was opening a window and hearing Mavis and the kids playing outside. We were saddened to learn of her illness and passing. Sincere condolences to Ken and family.
