To Lloyd's family he was an epitome of strength and the solid foundation of his family, he was a provider, while his wife Marion was the nurturer. Lloyd had a stern, hard hand when he needed to but wasn't afraid to express the loving kindness in his heart either. Family meant so much to Lloyd and Marion, every family wedding, every graduation, every BBQ, every baptism and every hockey game or any sporting event, every special day that he and Marion could attend they would , no matter what, family always came first with Lloyd. Each grandchild had a sport of choice and it didn't matter if you played hockey, ringette, or if you figure skated or even played ball, Lloyd and Marion were their biggest fans! Winters also included many ski-doo expeditions with Lloyd behind the wheel. The traditional family BBQ's were something that Lloyd cherished every year. The ball games, the whip cream fights, Lloyd couldn't wait to get the quad running and his little wagon hooked up to take the great-grandchildren out for rides. Even at the age of 90 laughter would follow Lloyd as he would come up behind the nurses in the hall at Parkland Terrace Nursing Home and say, "Toot Toot". Anyone who knew Lloyd knew while he had a kind, loving heart he also had a mischievous side to him. He was quite the prankster, a jokester and a comedian all rolled up in one. Lloyd's heart was from the old country and his morals and values were that way as well. He brought great love and life to all of us, he is now a shining star in heaven, and will be greatly missed, but finally home with Marion standing hand in hand. Like Lloyd would say, " Love binds the test of time and it is the truest of all blessings". In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shellbrook & Districts Health Services Project or to the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
