Beverly Vermette

Obituary of Beverly Wesley Vermette

Beverly Wesley Vermette was born March 15, 1945, in Duck Lake, Saskatchewan to Alexander and Lena Vermette. He was the youngest of 10 children. He worked at various jobs in the bush and was often self-employed.  He sold fence posts, and fish out of his own truck.  In the late 90s, he bought the PA Fish Market from his brothers, which had been operating since 1986.  We all know it now as Bev’s Fish & Seafood.  In 2007 a second retail location opened on 15th St., which is now located in Cornerstone. Bev started an annual fish fry in 2001 and it continued until Covid brought it to an end in 2020. None of this would have been a success without the support of the community of Prince Albert, his commercial  fishermen from up North, his staff, family, and friends.  Bev enjoyed spending time at the Northern Lights Casino playing poker. The only time he took off from work, was to be with his grandchildren or to go spend time with family at the shrine in Duck Lake.  Bev left us too soon on Sunday, March 12th, surrounded by his loving family.

Beverly leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his  memory, his loving wife of 47 years Elaine;

his children, Lowell (Larissa Ruznisky) Vandale, Raeleen (Adam) Beaulac, Cindy (Ken) Fitzpatrick; his grandchildren, Matthew, Marcus, Mitchell, Halleigh, Henry, Paiton; his great-grandson Mikey; his sister Claire Bazylak; his brother- in- law Lawrence Debray his special friends, Sandra and Stan Fontaine, Janet Rydde, Michael Palmer, Susan Polowski, Ray Basaraba and Scotty Gareau, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
