Obituary of Lisa Walsh
It is with great sadness that we announce that Elizabeth “Lisa” Walsh passed away peacefully at her home in Edmonton, AB on May 26, 2023. Elizabeth was born on July 21, 1948, in Fish Creek, SK, to Michael and Alice Kinash. She and her five siblings grew up on the family farm at Fish Creek, SK and later moved to Prince Albert, SK., and in 1984 she moved to Edmonton, AB. Education was important to Elizabeth, she had an avid love of books and reading. Elizabeth attained her teaching certificate in 1974 at the University of Saskatchewan. She spent her career in the classroom until her retirement.
Elizabeth is survived by her sisters, Olga Mulvey and MaryAnn Kinash; sisters-in-law, Verna, and Sylvia Kinash; and several nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth is predeceased by her parents, Michael, and Alice Kinash; brothers, Walter, Orest, and John Kinash; brother-in-law, Michael Mulvey; and niece, Margaret King.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023, at St. George Ukrainian Catholic Church, 770- 14th Street West, Prince Albert, SK, S6V 3L9, with Father Andrei Kachur officiating.
