Obituary of Anna Kiedrowski
Anna passed away peacefully at Parkland Integrated Health center in Shellbrook on Friday August 4, 2023, at the age of 105.
She was born in Moneson Pennsylvania USA, November 16, 1917, to John and Katherine Kozowy. In about 1923 the family moved back to Poland where they resided for 3 years then moving to Canada in 1926, bringing 4 children with them. One child passed away in Poland and her sister came later to Canada.
The eventually homesteaded in Cookson SK. Where Anna attended school. As a teenager she worked as a hired girl.
She met Vince at a dance in Foxdale and were married in 1940. She became a farm wife. In 1942, Fred and Marlene were born.
In 1972, they moved to Shellbrook where they built a house. She did all the interior and exterior painting of the house. She later used this experience to paint for many others in the area. She made many friends along the way.
Her excellent health and energy enabled her to enjoy curling, golfing, bowling, gardening, and berry picking. She loved to drive and drove until l she was 100 years old.
She lived on her own until she was 103 and then became a resident of Whispering Pine Place in Canwood. Later she moved to PIHC Long Term Care.
Anna is lovingly remembered by her daughter Marlene (Larry), her grandson Russel Walters (Shelley). Her former daughter in law Carla Katz and her grand daughter Laurie (Neil) and grandson Jonas.
She is predeceased by her son Fred in 2012. Her parents, her 9 siblings and her husband Vince.
