Hello family -- whoever you all might be. When I was a kid the list of my first and second cousins was 150+, and Marvin was grown up and my recollections of him are vague. My dad, Hubert, was the youngest of 12 kids - and Marvin's dad Henry (Hank) was #5 of the 12 ... so I remember him more than Marvin. Anyway, I found this obituary notice quite by accident today - just wanted to send a note like a ship in a bottle so to speak, if any members of the far-and-wide Kolke world would like to connect, please feel free to write to me ~ kolke@markkolke.com
Reading this obituary gave me an extra tug - remembering being in P.A. and a camping trip to Candle Lake one summer - being where I could have connected if I'd only known!
Cheers,
Mark

Marv was a great guy, I was fortunate enough to meet Marv and Rose when i moved from North Battleford to Prince Albert to work at Grays Funeral Chapel. I would remember when i worked at Gray's I would see Marv working out in his garden on hot summer days with his shirt off. I would go out the front door and yell at him to put a shirt on!! he would just smile and wave. In the fall Marv and I were lucky enough to go on a deer hunt down south for mule deer, he loved the outdoors and for an old guy he was sure tough as nails, we had the best 3 days together and that is a trip I will never forget. Rest easy Marv!! I will never forget you!! Trevor Watts
