Dan and I were classmates in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Saskatchewan. We got along really well and frequently we were lab partners. We were both of Ukrainian Catholic heritage and this gave us a lot in common.
Dan was just one of the kindest people I knew……always very helpful and wanting to make things go smoothly for others. I never ran into him after we graduated but he would tell my sister Carol in Prince Albert to say hi to me for him.
I am sorry to hear that he has left us; he was definitely one of the good guys. My condolences to his family.

I just learned the sad news of Dan passing. This man made a huge impact on my life. Twenty years ago he took me under his wing.
I was a single Mom in my early twenty’s trying to make it on my own. I started working at the Superstore in Prince Albert with the intentions of taking a year off from school.
I got a job stocking shelves and doing price changes in the OTC department. That is when I met Dan and our friendship quickly developed. It wasn’t long before he had me back in the pharmacy working for him.
At first he had me run the till but at nights when it wasn’t busy he would take the time to teach me how to read doctor scripts and how to fill them through the system. I quickly learned and before I knew it I was filling prescriptions for him.
Our conversations were often of his daughter Rachel and he would often tell me how much I reminded him of her. He knew I lost my Dad and I am sure that had a lot to do with why he took me under his wing.
Eventually Lee and I decided to move to Regina. Dan made sure to arrange a pharmacy technician job for me in Regina so that when I got there I would have a job. He also threw me a going away party and gave me a generous gift.
I will forever be grateful that I crossed paths with Dan. He made a huge ibmpact on my life and I will forever cherish our friendship.
My deepest condolences to all who knew and loved Dan.

Dear Dan's Family,
Our condolences to you on the passing of your wonderful husband and Dad.
We knew him through his amazing sister, Pat and had met many times at social occasions.
Didn't know that he was musical! Now, heaven will be a lively place.
He was quiet, personable, and very knowledgeable. He was my pharmacist a few times and I appreciated his wisdom.
Our prayers go to you all.
