Obituary of Herbert Charles Couldwell
Herbert Charles Couldwell, 94, passed away Monday December 18, 2023 at Victoria Hospital, Prince Albert. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 72 years, Yvonne (nee Scott), daughters Beverly (Ivan) Brule, Teresa Marshak, Donna (Robert) Hand, Jennine Couldwell, 12 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Herbert was born February 8, 1929 the first of seven children to Albert and Frances (nee Roberts) Couldwell. Herbert worked for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool for 43 years starting in White Fox moving to MacDowall, Beatty, Melfort and Nipawin before taking a position as farm manager in Zambia, Africa for 3 years. Returning to Saskatchewan they moved to Leader then on to Watrous, where he was farm manager for Saskatchewan Wheat Pool Research Farm. Retired to Candle Lake in 1994 where he became a member of the volunteer fire department and was a councillor for the Village of Candle Lake. In 2011 they moved to Prince Albert. Herbert was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed flying small aircraft.
