I have such great memories with Maurice. He was so unique. He seemed to stick to routine and was stubborn about what he liked/didn’t like, yet he was adventurous and open to learning and seeing the world. I have fond memories of the times we spent together. He was always looking out for me when I was young. He cheered me on with my music, yet also came to the rescue when I needed help clearing tree’s from my front yard (a man of many talents)!
As the years passed by, we didn’t see much of each other, as life evolved and I moved away. Faithfully, every year, he calls or texts on my Birthday. While I know he’s having a good time wherever he may be, my heart hurts a bit knowing I won’t get that text or call from him this year. He was truly such a kind and wonderful soul. I will miss him.
