Iris Julia Heppner was born April 4, 1933, Laird, SK and passed away February 18, 2024, Spiritwood, SK at the age of 90 years.
Iris is lovingly remembered by: her husband: Arnold Heppner, her children and grandchildren: Lamont (Cecilia) Heppner of Spiritwood, SK and their son Colin Heppner, Katherine (Brian) Cross of Spiritwood, SK and Katherine’s children Clay (Jodi) Tiegen, Shelley Phoenix, Lavern Heppner of Shellbrook, SK and his children Sirena (Ron) Klassen, Wayne (Ashley) Heppner, Melissa Heppner (Todd Thurlow), Nicole Heppner, Mark (Robin) Heppner of Meadow Lake, SK and Mark’s children Brandie (Ryan) Turgeon, Dylan (Jodi) Heppner, Kyle Heppner, Gina (John) Bernier of Meadow Lake, SK and their daughter Alexandria Bernier, and Myles (Jamell) Heppner of Spiritwood, SK and their children Mathew (Taylor) Heppner, Sarah Heppner, Kayla (Jessie) Nikkel, Emily Heppner, 26 great grandchildren, her sister: Mary Neufeld, her sisters-in-law: Helen (Arnold) Friesen and Carol Parent also numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was predeceased by: her parents: Abraham and Anne Fischer, her siblings: William, Stephan, and Florence Fischer, her sister-in-law: Helen Fischer, her step-father: Frank D. Martens and her brother-in-law: Pit “Lionel” Parent.
A private graveside service was held Friday, February 23, 2024 - 1:00pm at Crescent Ridge Cemetery, Leoville, SK the service was officiated by Russell Isaac. Music ministry was provided by the Mennonite Singers. Iris’ eulogy was prepared by her grandchildren, honorary pallbearers were all of Iris’ granddaughters, the active pallbearers were grandsons Clay Tiegen, Colin Heppner, Wayne Heppner, Dylan Heppner, Kyle Heppner, and Mathew Heppner.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in memory of Iris Heppner as tokens of remembrance.
