Obituary of Irene Ellen Neurauter

Irene “Rene” Ellen Neurauter

November 16, 1934 – July 7, 2024

Rene passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the age of 89. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ray of 71 years. Her children Larry (Pat), Bev (Lyle), Russel, Lynn (Darryl). Her grandchildren Jamie, Leslie, Donald, Bradley, Shaun, Chad, Jordan, Fallon, Brittany, Craig, Darryl, and Emma. Along with her 14 great grandchildren.

Rene always made time for her family and friends. Her greatest pleasure after family and friends was her yard full of flowers. She was greatly involved in the Spiritwood horticultural show for many years. She loved her job as an LPN at the Spiritwood & District Long Term Care (training many of those who would later care for her in her later years) and then volunteering many hours at NU2U in her retirement.

She was predeceased by her parents, her infant brother Arthur, her sister Lottie, her twin brothers William & Henry, and her daughter in law Sandra.

The family would like to extend a huge thank you to the health care workers for their compassionate care they have provided over the last 6 years. We are truly thankful for all you have done.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Idylwild Lodge Auxilliary Inc.  C/O Linda Pauls Box 641 Spiritwood, SK S0J2M0
