Obituary of Anita Gilberte Dumais
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Anita Dumais announce her passing on July 22, 2010 at the age of 79. The "Celebration of Life" Mass was held on July 26, 2010 at St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church (Debden, SK.) with Rev.Fr. Bernabe Millan Sajonas as Celebrant, and interment to followed at the Debden Cemetery. Anita will be remembered as someone with a kind and gentle heart. She found true happiness on the farm; cooking, gardening, and bringing meals out to the field. Lovingly she welcomed guests into her home, where she entertained with plenty of food and a great sense of humour. Anita lived by her faith, and this was the foundation on which she lived. She was an avid community member and took pleasure helping in all aspects of the church. She taught at the Debden School for many years, and had a true passion for children. She had the eye of an eagle, the roar of a lion but a heart as big of a house. Whether through family, school, community or friends, she touched many lives in tremendous ways, and will be greatly missed. Anita will be forever & lovingly remembered by: her children Victor Dumais from Prince Albert, SK.; Richard (Donna) Dumais from Debden, SK. and their children Melanie (Chad) Benson, Tammy (Geoff Johnston) Dumais, Jamie (Shanna) Dumais; Aime (Doris) Dumais from Vegreville, AB. and their children Daniel (Crystal) Dumais, Rene Dumais, Nicole (Chris Macahonic) Dumais; Claude (Kathy) Dumais from Debden, SK. and their children Jason Beaulac, Leah (Dean) Demers, Tiffany (Johnathon Aiken) Dumais, Kaylie Dumais; Ginette (Fred) Roberge from Red Deer, AB. and their children Justin (Karla) Mathieu, Michelle (Mike) Voytechek; Dominique (Jenn) Dumais from Prince Albert, SK. and their children Keira Dumais, Kamryn Dumais, Dylan Dumais; her great-grandchildren Kelsey and Ashley Benson; Sara and Cooper Johnston; Shay and Mason Dumais; Tanneil and Nicole Carver; Kenzie, Derian and Jaxon Demers; Ayston Dumais Aiken; Taylor Mathieu; her aunt Florence Lapalme; her brothers Philippe (Aurore) Jean, Victor (Helen) Jean, Paul-Henri (Doris) Jean, Denis (Angeline) Jean, Clement (Marg) Jean, Lucien (Karen) Jean, Guy (Lynne) Jean, and Daniel (Ginette) Jean; her sisters Laurette (Ray) Bonner, Cecile Couture, Odile Cyr, and Dianne (Michel) Lepage; her brothers- and sisters-in-law of the Dumais family; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends.
