Obituary of Clara Clementine Kitching
Kitching - obit Mrs. Clara Clementine Kitching passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Spiritwood at the Idylwild Lodge on February 1st, 2011 at the age of 89 years. Clara was born on March 27th, 1921 in Cudworth to Peter & Helen Kiefer. In 1942, she married Raymond Kitching. Together they raised a family of nine children in Saskatoon. They retired to Crescent Beach, Meeting Lake in 1973. She entered Idylwild Lodge in February 2004 where she received excellent care. Clara will be lovingly remembered by: Her daughters: Diane Richardson of Saskatoon, SK; Marcia Shillington (Wayne) of Edmonton, AB; Coralee Anderson of St. Louis, SK; Marian Kitching (Gary Carlson) of Cut Knife, SK; Monica Liddell (Bryce) of LaRonge, SK and Coleen Kitching (Darcy Loewen) of Glenbush, SK. Her sons: Kevin Kitching (Audrey) of Prince Albert, SK and Kent Kitching (Karen) of Rabbit Lake, SK. Her grandchildren: Rebecca, Ronalee, Clint, Luke, Daniel, Kristen, Melissa, Chad, Kiefer and Tucker. Her great grandchildren: Taylor, Novalee, Addison, Sawyer, Wyatt and Summer. Her sisters: Dorothy Altrogge (Leo) of Humboldt & Helen Lambert of New Westminster. Numerous other relatives and countless friends. She was predeceased by: Her loving husband Ray Kitching in 1986; Her son Lorne Kitching in 2000; Her parents: Peter & Helen Kiefer; her sisters Leona Huslage and Esther Kiefer, a brother Roman Kiefer and a daughter-in-law Joanne Kitching. The Prayer Service was held on Thursday, February 3rd, 2011 at 7:30 pm from the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Spiritwood, SK. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on February 4th, 2011 at 1:00 pm from the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Spiritwood, SK with Rev Fr Francis Agbezuge officiating. Music Director was Bill Martodam. Marcia Shillington gave the eulogy. Her grandsons Kiefer Kitching, Tucker Kitching, Daniel Carlson were the crossbearers. Honorary Pallbearers "All friends and relatives who shared in Clara's life". Pallbearers: Gary Carlson, Kent Kitching, Kevin Kitching, Bryce Liddell, Wayne Shillington & Marian Kitching. Clara will be laid to rest in the Rabbit Lake Municipal Cemetery. Beau "Lac Funeral Home was entrusted with the funeral arrangements 883-3500.
