Obituary of Richard Dale Burt

BURT- Mr. Richard Dale Burt, age 64, late of Big River, passed away in the Shellbrook hospital on Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Richard was born in Prince Albert on January 26, 1947 and grew up in the Big River area. He devoted his time to community organizations, coaching, and encouraging people in sports. He had no children of his own but played an important part in the lives of numerous others. Richard leaves to mourn, his brothers and sisters, Donna Neale, Lawrence (Doris) Burt, Murray (Thelma) Burt, Ruth (Henry) Loeppky, David (Louise) Burt, Barbara Eymann; a sister-in-law Debra Burt; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Neil Burt; a brother-in-law George Neale; his parents Roland and Olive Burt. The funeral service was held at the Community Centre in Big River on Monday, April 4. The eulogy was read by Brian Brownfield and Duane Olson was the urn bearer. The organist was Laura Wilson. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. The interment in Big River Cemetery will be held at a later date.
