Obituary of RoseAnne Watier
It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of RoseAnne Della Watier, our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend on May 31, 2011 at the age of 53 years. Rose's loving memory will be forever cherished by her four children: Otis (Aimee); Quincy (Marcia); Mario and Shelby; her beloved grandchildren Megan, Kayden, Jaxon, Emily and Serena; her mother RoseAnne; brothers Paul and Wade; sisters Janice (Darryl) Vallentgoed and Patricia Watier; and brother-in-law Roy Gilbert, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rose was predeceased by her father Joseph and sister Jane Gilbert. Rose's life and legacy of love was celebrated on Tuesday, June 7th in Big River, Saskatchewan where she lived a quiet life nearby in the country for much of her adult life. Rose was born in Williams Lake, British Columbia but moved with her parents and family as a child to their farm at Winter Lake near Big River. She attended school in Big River and afterward, Rose took a mechanics course in Prince Albert where she was the only girl in the class. She once threaded a bolt so perfectly in her machining class that her instructor used it as an example for other students to follow. Rose was a hard worker and was employed by the Big River Tree Nursery as well as by Smokey Lake Tree Planting for many years. Her wonderful cooking ability eventually led her to become the camp cook before establishing an independent candle-making business in Big River a few years ago. Rose's garden and yard were always alive with beautiful flowers, plants and trees. As a result of her talent in growing an abundance of vegetables and her love of berry-picking, her home was often filled with the smell of something hearty and delicious cooking in the kitchen. Rose was a quiet and modest individual who rarely spoke about herself, but took great pride in the accomplishments of others, especially her children and grandchildren who were her main priority. She was a very loving, kind, patient and generous mother and grandmother, and a trait that defined Rose was how she selflessly gave to those she loved. She focused on cultivating her relationships with her children, grandchildren and family to ensure they would continue to grow and flourish throughout her lifetime. Though our hearts are heavy with sadness and loss, we are grateful for the wonderful years we shared with Rose and the precious gifts from her life she has left behind for us to enjoy. Her vibrant and loving energy will continue on in her children and grandchildren, as well as in the flowers and plants of her garden and the trees of her yard that she tended to so patiently. She will be forever loved and greatly missed. Individuals who wish to make a donation to honour Rose's life may please do so to a charity of the donor's choice. Beau"Lac" Funeral Home were entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Email condolences will be forwarded to the family
