Obituary of Brian Holmes

HOLMES - Mr. Brian Harry 1951 - 2011 It is with sadness that the family of Mr. Brian Harry Holmes announce his sudden passing on Friday, June 3, 2011 at the age of 60 years at his residence in Canwood, SK. Brian was born in Shellbrook, SK on June 1, 1951 to Fred and Nora Holmes, Brian was the youngest of seven. He was an avid farmer and enjoyed living in Saskatchewan's rugged environment. Brian chose to live out his days in Saskatchewan because he loved the land. Brian is survived by his sons, Jason and his wife Dawn and their three children Dawson, Bode, and Chloe; James and his wife Elaine and their five children, Hunter, Johnathan, Robert, Chelsea and Joeseph; his brothers John and his wife Judy; Dale and his wife June; and Steve; and a sister Sylvia. The Funeral Service for Brian was held on Saturday, June 11th at 2:00 p.m. from the Canwood Elks Hall with Rev. Stephen Harnish as officiant. The organist was Monica Svendsen and Urn Bearer was Jason Fredrick. Brian was laid to rest in the Canwood North Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Brian to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
