Obituary of Campbell Purdy

"Campbell" was born April 7th, 1942 in North Battleford, Sk, at the age of 69 years he passed away November 17th, 2011 in Prince Albert, Sk. Campbell grew up on his family homestead in the Barnes Lake area, north of Spiritwood. He grew up farming alongside his father and settled down on his grandfather's farm just over a mile east of where he was raised. It was here where his 7 children were raised. Creating and shaping their lives on the farm that his father and his grandfather had made. It was here Campbell had lived his entire life, until the winter of 2005, when he moved into Spiritwood. Campbell will always be remembered by his automatic smile, his automatic wink, his laugh, his teasing, his kindness, his pride, his hard work, and most of all, his love for his children. Campbell was the kind of man who worried about others and those he loved. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and family in need. Even when it was their turn to take care of him, he was still worrying about taking care of his loved ones. He enjoyed being surrounded by friends, family and attending social gatherings. He also loved anything that involved being outside and enjoying nature. Campbell was always proud of having a large family and especially proud of his 15 grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who shared in his life, his loving wife, Caroline Purdy of Spiritwood, SK, his children: Tannya (Tim) Drapak, Regina, SK, Laurinda (Brad) Brown, Spruce Grove, AB, Clayton (Michele) Purdy, Spiritwood, Sk, Perry Purdy, Marlene (Carson) Wouters, Meota, SK, Blair Purdy (Nicole Hill), Lloydminster, SK, Gina (Nick) Swindler, North Battleford, SK.
