She left Chitek Lake at the age of 16 to find work in the Idylwild-Twin Bay district. She was working for the Frasers when she went to a dance in the Twin Bay School and met the love of her life - Raymond Fee. They farmed east of Ranger where they raised their family of four. On the farm she enjoyed her horses, cattle, turkeys, chickens etc. She always had a big garden and kept a beautiful yard. She made sure there was food on the table for her family. Together they enjoyed camping trips and picking berries, she always had her German Shepherd dog with her. Later on, nearing retirement, they rented a house in Chitek Lake and finally bought their own home which they resided in until she had to go into the Evergreen Health Center.
