Obituary of Marlene Jewitt
Mrs. Lois “Marlene” Jewitt
1949-2013
Mrs. Lois Marlene Jewitt, better known as Marlene, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2013 with her family at her side at the age of 63 years. Marlene was well known for being a great cook and baker and took great pride in cleaning her home. She enjoyed her work at the Shellbrook Hospital in the kitchen. It was very important to her to travel to be with family and try to attend as many of her grandchildren’s events as possible. Marlene enjoyed crafts such as paint by number pictures, and especially strolling through gardens looking at all the flowers. Marlene was the person everyone in the family turned to talk to, the pillar of the family. The memories she left with her family and friends will be cherished forever.
The Funeral Service for Marlene was held on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Knox United Church in Shellbrook, SK, with Pastor Dave Whalley officiating. Interment took place in the Shellbrook Cemetery. Pallbearers for Marlene’s service were Gary Rudolph, Clem Delisle, Dennis Prosser, Ralph Korody, Reg Miners, and Stan Prosser while Chrisann, Ashley & Cori Jewitt shared memories of Marlene.
Marlene is lovingly survived by her husband, Duane Jewitt; her children Curtis (Tracy) Jewitt; Lloyd (Tammy) Jewitt; Chrisann Jewitt (Tyler); her grandchildren, Melissa Jewitt (Charlie); Ashley Jewitt; Cori Jewitt; Cody Jewitt; Jared Jewitt; her sisters Jean (Ernie) Tiegen; Ena (Ross) Hamilton; Verna (Bruce) Willison, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Marlene is predeceased by her parents, Vern and Audrey Green; her parents in-law, Charlie and Alice Jewitt; her nephew Darin Nelson; and her brother in-law Elwood Jewitt.
