Mr. Sullivan was my teacher, coach and friend. He had a tremendous influence on my life. I became a teacher on his encouragement and tried to live up to the example he set. I visited with Mr. Sullivan a couple of years ago and was happy to see he still has his impish grin and keen sense of humour. I will always have fond memories of my friendship with him.

To the family of Albert Sullivan.........
It is with deep sadness that I have learned of Mr. Sullivan's passing. Mr. Sullivan was one of my teachers at Shaunavon High in Shaunavon, SK during the years 1961 - 1965. He was also my basketball and volleyball coach. I remember him bringing to life one of Shakespeare's plays and consequently, instilling in me a love of literature. I especially remember him for coaching me in basketball. He was a dedicated coach who knew how to get his players to become the best that they could be. I spent many an hour in the gym honing my skills. I remember with fondness the trips out of town that we took..........the bus rides, the games, the wins and the losses. Mr. Sullivan not only taught me how to play the game.........he taught me to rise to the challenges of competition and the importance of fair play and good sportsmanship. He was a very influential person in my life and had a big part in helping me become the person I am today. I now that Mr. Sullivan's contributions to education are numerous and he will be missed by all who knew him. Please accept my most sincere condolences. He is with the angels now........Cheryl (Tweed) Rowley

I am so sorry to hear of Albert's passing. I was one of his students during my high school years in Shaunavon from 1960 to 1964 and over the years maintained contact with him from time to time. I last visited him at his home at Chitek Lake a couple of years ago. We had a wonderful visit as we both reminisced about the past and the many people we knew in common. Amongst my many school-days colleagues, we always speak of Albert as our most memorable and favorite teacher of our school days. We have so many fond memories of those good years and of Albert's very positive contribution to our education and character building. A wonderful man who will be missed by so many.

We, at Our Lady of the Lake Parish, would like to extend our sympathy to Albert's family. We will miss him. We will miss his blueberry tarts, his early spring lettuce salad, his vegetables from his well tended garden. We will miss the flowers which he arranged every Sunday for our Eucharistic celebration. Mostly we will miss his presence at our church. We now pray that he rest in peace in the arms of our loving God.
