Obituary of Lawrence (Smitty) Smith

Lawrence (Smitty) Smith October 9, 1935 - August 11, 2018 Smitty was born Oct. 9, 1935 at Shellbrook, SK and passed away Aug. 11, 2018 at Mildred, SK, he was 82 years of age. Lawrence is lovingly remembered by: wife, Annette “Marie” Smith, sons: Merlin (Laura) Smith of Regina, SK and children: Alexander and Zanna, Bryan (Kristy) Smith of Biggar, SK and children: Amelia and Joshua, nieces & nephews: Kelly (Sheila) Smith, Stacey (Cliff) Marjoram, Kim (Eugenia) Smith, Jason (Della) Smith, Vicki Larose, Ron (Donna) Larose, David Larose, Terry Larose and Judy (Larron) Perletz also numerous other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by: parents, Thomas and Caroline Smith, sister, Maureen (Irving) Larose, brother, Edward (Doreen) Smith. The funeral service was held Thursday August 16, 2018 at 1:00 pm from the Lions Community Hall, Shell Lake, SK with Delores Beaulac officiating. Honorary Pallbearers were Alvin Kahl, Brian Jacobson, Gordon Day, Dave Saam, Dave Brockwell and Jim Anderson, casket bearers were Mark Morrical, Ward Anderson, Bronc Gale, Lyle Franson, Larry Neurauter and Ken Aiken. His final resting place is at the Mildred North Cemetery. Following the funeral service, the family invited all those in attendance to join them for lunch and fellowship in the hall.
