Obituary of Rene Joseph Oscar Henri

Rene Joseph Oscar Henri late of Leoville, SK passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, in Leoville, SK.

Born July 28, 1945. The oldest son to Edmond and Adrienne Henri. Little brother to one and big brother to 6 others.

As an infant he lived in Ranger and at the age of 4 moved to the farm North of Leoville for 75 years.

Rene married the love of his life, Gladys on December 26, 1967. They raised a beautiful family of 5. Colin (Kathy), Corinna (Colin), Monique (Ken), Travis (Amy), Ramone (Layne).

Dad was able to enjoy all the grandkids and great grand kids as they came. Even if it was just a short phone call to share the news of the day.

Rene was a huge part of the Leoville Trailrides Assocciation.

Every August long weekend he would head to timberland and team rope with whomever needed a partner, do steer riding, wild cow milking and even taking part in the chicken catch.

A Celebration of Life for all those that knew Rene was held on Tuesday October 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Leoville Community Hall, Leoville, SK with Delores Beaulac officiating.  Interment followed in the Leoville Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the Leoville Cemetery or to the Leoville Trail Riders Rodeo in memory of Rene Henri.
