Obituary of Joanna Christianson
Surrounded by her family, (Ruth) Joanna Christianson passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Lawrence Christianson. Treasured mother of Linda Harrison (Brian), Jackie Bragg (Dale), Peter Christianson (Shelly) and the late Deanna Christianson.
Sister to Duane Pugh (Joyce), the late Lorna Millard (Allen), and the late George Moskaluck (Michelle).
Loving grandmother of Christian (Nastasha), Wesley, Jonathan (Selena), David, Dustin (Kimberly), Allycia (Luke), Austin (Stephanie), Jordan (Keesha) and Eva.
She is survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Joanna was a member of Parkside Pentecostal Church. She graduated from Canadian Nazarene College and was a nurse for 37 years in Prince Albert, Shellbrook and Hay River NWT. She enjoyed camping, gardening, travelling, mentoring, hosting, reading and family. Joanne trusted in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour and is now finally home.
Joanna’s celebration of life will be held on Saturday October 19 at Shellbrook Pentecostal Assembly, 61 2nd St. West, at 10:00 AM. Joanna will be laid to rest in Parkside Cemetery. Donations may be made to Parkside Pentecostal Church, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
